We purchased this full Peruvian, half Accoyo son of Silver Bullet to add some new colors to our herd.  His sire is a well-known silver grey, and his maternal half sister, WRSR Toffee Crunch, is a grey fancy by a black, who won her class at AOBA in 1999.  Ay Caramba's fleece caught our attention because while he is registered as a light fawn, his fleece contains diverse colors, including rose tones down to dark red, and also shades of grey.  In our tests of his fleece it produced very nice handspun yarn, smooth and unfuzzy.  Two judges in the 2001 show season commented on the fineness of his fleece.  He placed in large classes at both the 2001 Futurity and MaPaca, and came in 6th at 2001 AOBA.  He placed second at the Northwest Alpaca Showcase in 2002.  We were excited to acquire him as a yearling, and he has confirmed our expectations as he has matured.  (Thank you to the Andersons of Wild Rose Suri Ranch.)
