TVL Jefe del Sol

ARI  # A142033  DOB 10 August 1995

(Jefe NT836 TBS (Powerline ET 497 x Julieta ET422)) x Raya
DelSol NT609 TBS (Lumino ET494 x Huida ET409))

Jefe del Sol has an exquisitely typey suri fleece, still gleamingly lustrous, drapey, and lock-filled as he approaches eight years of age.  He has a compact, muscular body, which he keeps well-exercised watching over HIS girls.  Despite his strong  libido and protectiveness towards his herd he is gentle and good-natured with his human handlers.

Jefe del Sol is the product of two great suri lines.  His grandfathers, Powerline and Lumino, are foundation herdsires of suris in North America,
whose descendants are known for their superior suri fleece.  Jefe del Sol has won blue ribbons in halter and fleece classes.  His sire, Jefe, has won
many ribbons,  and taken first place in get-of sire competitions.  Jefe del Sol's dam, Raya DelSol, is a very pretty alpaca, an excellent mother, and in
the words of her owner, "mIlks like a cow."

Jefe del Sol's first cria was born last summer, and she is exquisite.  With her tiny brightly lustrous locks, and her compact, energetic body, she stood out from birth.  (She was a smaller newborn who grew very rapidly:  We would like to take a leaf from other livestock breeders, and breed this quality into our herd.)  Jefe del Sol has only had one cria to date, because we have been breeding with our senior black herdsire, Maestoso.  But after seeing his 2002 cria,  we are anxious to see what else he can do!
